Anthropic has closed a $30 billion Series G funding round at a $380 billion post-money valuation, marking one of the largest private funding rounds in AI history. The round was co-led by GIC, Coatue, D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX, signaling continued institutional confidence in the AI safety company's commercial trajectory and technical roadmap.
The funding underscores Anthropic's rapid commercial success with Claude, its flagship AI assistant. The company now reports $14 billion in annualized run-rate revenue -- a 10x annual growth rate sustained over three consecutive years. Eight of the Fortune 10 companies are now Claude customers, with over 500 customers spending more than $1 million annually, up from just a dozen two years ago. CFO Krishna Rao noted that "Claude is increasingly becoming critical to how businesses work," highlighting enterprise demand as the primary driver of the funding round.
The investment will support frontier research, product development, and infrastructure expansion as Anthropic works to maintain its market position in enterprise AI and agentic coding tools.
