Anthropic has closed a $30 billion Series G funding round at a $380 billion post-money valuation, making it one of the most valuable private companies in the world. The round was led by GIC and Coatue, with co-leads including Founders Fund, D.E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, ICONIQ, and MGX, alongside a broad coalition of financial institutions including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Sequoia Capital. The company reports $14 billion in annualized revenue, growing at roughly 10x per year for three consecutive years.

The scale of this raise reflects how quickly enterprise demand for AI has accelerated. Two years ago, Anthropic had fewer than a dozen customers spending $1 million or more annually; that number now exceeds 500. Eight Fortune 10 companies have adopted Claude, and the company's coding tool, Claude Code, alone accounts for more than $2.5 billion in annualized revenue -- with 4% of all public GitHub commits now authored by Claude Code. Anthropic says the funds will go toward frontier research, product development, and infrastructure. This level of investment could give the company the runway to compete directly with OpenAI and Google on long-horizon AI research that requires sustained, capital-intensive compute.
